For brakes they use an elctric vacuum pump with a pressure switch, it has power steering now but I am thinking about cutting the lines and looping them. No I will not have regenerative braking, this is a DC system I read they have better luck with AC, (Alternating Current) systems when it comes to regenerative braking. I also plan to use the shaft for hybrid mode and extended range, this engine is a 20HP Kawasaki that came in the JD Gators, I plan to connect it with an electric clutch to turn it on.

Tom, to be honest I didn't remember the Thunderbolt Grease Slapper until I did google it, then it all came back to me. Classic!!

Possibly the seventies and eighties relieved me of some of my 60's memories.

Heres some more pieces the big black box is the controller, its a variable frequency drive, baSICALLY TURNING THE CIRCUIT ON AND OFF a thousand times a second to vary the speed of the motor, the fan above it will be used to cool the controller, the two things on the right are contactors, 500 amp relays that connect/disconnect the batteries, above the contactors is a shunt for measuring current flow and a 500 amp fuse.

Turbo not that it ever matters but what kind of $,Lute,cabbage are we looking at in investment

So it will be about $10K for my second car which when figuring in the cost of electricity vs gasoline I calculated it will be the equivalent of getting 100 MPG
It will also qualify for $1K federal tax break

and if it goes fast enough the 1st electric Pro Truck
I guess you could always enter the sport truck class
